📍 Location

Cheonan, Republic of Korea

※ Flexible hybrid arrangement with Japan can be discussed. (Japan-based arrangement with approximately 1–2 weeks of work in Korea per month)

⭐️ Key Responsibilities

This position focuses on equipment concept development, mechanical architecture, design review, troubleshooting, and technical knowledge transfer, rather than routine detailed mechanical drafting.

- Conceptual and mechanical architecture design for semiconductor equipment

- Development of Semiconductor Handlers, Sorters, Test Handlers, Pick & Place systems, or precision motion equipment

- Equipment layout and mechanism concept development

- Selection and optimization of motors, actuators, sensors, robots, pneumatic systems, and precision motion mechanisms

- Design review covering accuracy, vibration, thermal deformation, maintainability, reliability, and productivity (UPH)

- Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of mechanical and equipment-related issues

- Establishment of equipment design standards and design guidelines

- Technical mentoring and knowledge transfer to JT’s mechanical engineering team

- Participation in the development of next-generation semiconductor equipment platforms

✔️ Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or higher (Major related to Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics)

- Over 20 years of professional experience in semiconductor back-end equipment or precision

automation equipment

- Talent who currently reside in Japan but are able to move to South Korea

- Talent who have background experiences from Japanese semiconductor / precision automation equipment manufacturers

- Annual Salary : USD 100,000~150,000

- Compensation : Company provided or subsidized housing in Korea, meal support, insurance, and round-trip airfare between Japan and Korea will be provided. Visa and relocation support will also be provided where applicable.
