Kindergarten Teacher Location: Guangzhou, China Start date: ASAP Overview Byron Recruitment is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to support young learners in a positive and engaging classroom environment in Guangzhou, China. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about early childhood development and committed to creating meaningful learning experiences that support children’s academic, social, and emotional growth. The successful candidate will build a warm, inclusive classroom culture, deliver age-appropriate learning activities, and work closely with colleagues and families to help each child thrive. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons for kindergarten-aged students Create a safe, welcoming, and supportive classroom environment where children feel confident to learn and explore Support children’s early development in literacy, numeracy, communication, creativity, and social skills Use a variety of teaching methods, play-based learning strategies, and classroom activities to meet different learning needs Observe, assess, and document student progress, development, and behavior Provide regular feedback on student learning and development to school leadership and families as required Establish positive classroom routines and manage behavior in a calm, consistent, and supportive manner Encourage curiosity, independence, collaboration, and confidence in young learners Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and fellow educators to support classroom goals and student wellbeing Prepare teaching materials, classroom displays, and learning resources that enhance student engagement Participate in school meetings, training sessions, events, and professional development activities Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and child welfare at all times Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field Recognized teaching qualification or license APGCE/QTS or equivalent Previous experience teaching kindergarten or early years students Strong understanding of child development and early years teaching practices Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities Strong classroom management skills with a nurturing and patient approach Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in an international or multicultural school environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken Nice to Have Experience teaching in an international school setting Familiarity with play-based, inquiry-based, or child-centered learning approaches Experience working with multilingual learners or students from diverse cultural backgrounds Additional training in phonics, early literacy, or social-emotional learning Experience living or working abroad What the Role Offers Housing Allowance Flights Health Insurance Visa support Opportunity to make a meaningful impact during an important stage of child development Supportive and collaborative teaching environment Exposure to an international education setting in Guangzhou Ongoing professional growth and development opportunities The chance to help young learners build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning Team and Culture The school environment values collaboration, care, and student-centered learning.
