Vacancy Information

As Lead Electrical Engineer, you will lead electrical engineering design activities for complex commercial and residential building projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contributing to solutions that are energy-efficient, digitally forward, and built to last. You will be responsible for the technical quality of all electrical deliverables, working across medium and low-voltage systems, lighting, fire detection, communication networks, and building electrical infrastructure.

Your involvement spans design development, technical coordination, quality monitoring, and team leadership. You will work within a BIM environment, engage with project managers, clients, and other discipline leads, and contribute directly to sustainable building concepts including net-zero energy solutions, grid congestion strategies, solar PV installations, and smart building technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the development of electrical engineering designs for complex commercial and residential building projects.
• Coordinating and reviewing technical designs, calculations, and engineering documentation across all project phases.
• Designing and specifying medium and low-voltage electrical installations, lighting systems, fire detection and fire protection systems, communication and data networks, and general building electrical infrastructure.
• Leading and supporting design engineers and BIM modelers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitoring project quality, planning, budget, and technical compliance to ensure deliverables meet the required standard.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in an international project environment.
• Working within a BIM environment using software including Revit and BIM 360.
• Contributing to sustainable and innovative building concepts including net-zero energy buildings, grid congestion solutions, thermal energy storage systems, solar PV installations, and smart building technologies.

What You Need

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Building Services or a comparable technical discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar electrical engineering position, with at least 3 years of experience in a lead engineering role.
• Solid experience with building services installations and sustainable building solutions across commercial, office, or residential projects.
• Strong working knowledge of medium and low-voltage systems and a good understanding of Dutch electrical engineering standards and regulations.
• Experience working within a BIM environment. Revit experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary international teams.
• A proactive mindset with the drive to deliver technically sound, future-proof engineering solutions.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
