Lead Hardware Engineer

Lead advanced hardware design. Mentor engineers. Own projects end-to-end. Packet Digital is hiring a Lead Hardware Engineer to drive PCB-based product development and lead a growing engineering team. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who wants both design ownership and team influence. Why This Role Stands Out High-impact technical leadership (not just management) Real ownership of designs from concept → production Strong team culture: low ego, high collaboration Relocation support + generous PTO What You'll Do Lead electrical hardware development across projects Design schematics, PCB layouts, and system architectures Translate customer needs into technical solutions Mentor engineers and drive team performance Support proposals, estimating, and project planning Lead design reviews and improve engineering processes Build, test, and troubleshoot hardware What You Bring BS in Electrical Engineering & 4+ years experience Deep PCB design experience (schematic & layout) Strong hands-on lab/debug skills (oscopes, power, signal tools) Proven ability to lead projects or mentor engineers Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Compensation & Benefits 130 hours PTO + 8 paid holidays Medical, dental, vision 401(k) Relocation assistance available
