Lead Mechanical Engineer

Lead Mechanical Engineer | Eindhoven

For one of our clients in Eindhoven, we are looking for an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to take a key technical role in the development of complex high-tech mechanical systems.

About the role

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will combine hands-on mechanical engineering with technical leadership, guiding and supporting a team of approximately 3–8 Mechanical Engineers.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing complex mechanical modules and systems
• Ensuring functionality, quality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness of mechanical designs
• Coordinating technical activities within the engineering team
• Working closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams
• Supporting technical decision-making and monitoring project progress
• Contributing to design reviews and engineering change processes
• Coaching and supporting fellow Mechanical Engineers
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering methodologies

What we are looking for

• HBO/WO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field
• Minimum 5 years of Mechanical Engineering experience in a high-tech environment
• Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
• Strong mechanical design and problem-solving skills
• Experience with structured product development, preferably the V-model
• Technical leadership and team coordination skills

• Salary between €5,500 and €6,300 gross per month
• Full-time position of 38–40 hours per week
