Lead Software Engineer / Cloud Architect (AWS) Melbourne, FL — 100% Onsite | Full-Time | Relocation Assistance Available $115,000 – $190,000 base Active TS/SCI clearance required About the Role A defense and aerospace technology organization is seeking a Lead Software Engineer / Cloud Architect to own the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, cost-efficient cloud solutions on AWS. You'll work onsite alongside the customer, translating mission requirements into architecture and guiding it from whiteboard through deployment. What You'll Do Architect and build robust cloud applications on AWS, balancing scalability, security, and cost Interface daily with the customer to gather requirements and shape solutions Produce comprehensive architectural designs and multi-year roadmaps Write clear design, development, and deployment documentation Present complex technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels Flex across mission areas as priorities shift What You Bring Required Active TS/SCI clearance (no exceptions — clearance must be current) BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering + 9 years relevant experience Demonstrated AWS cloud development experience building production applications Experience preparing comprehensive architectural designs Security+ or equivalent DoD IAT Level II certification, or ability to obtain shortly after hire Preferred Experience with IATT and ATO certification processes Automating deployment and configuration of EC2 instances Familiarity with C2S Access Portal (CAP) and high-side AWS environments GitLab pipeline configuration for automated cloud resource deployment Prior on-site/field experience
