Legal Officer

For our client, an IT Development company that manages and monetizes web-applications worldwide, we are looking for a Legal Officer (Associate) for a full-time, permanent employment in Cyprus . The role will be hybrid-remote in the office in Limassol.  As a Legal Officer you will ensure business-aligned legal support for a global, remote ecosystem of entities worldwide - covering cross-border contracts, corporate governance across multiple entities, GDPR/data protection, and international regulatory matters. Key Responsibilities: Draft and review commercial contracts (NDAs, MSAs, SaaS, DPAs) to balance risk while speeding deals Maintain corporate housekeeping for International entities (board/shareholder actions, annual returns,UBO filings) Support GDPR compliance (DPIAs, ROPAs, SCCs, vendor oversight); document lawful bases and data flows Monitor Cyprus/EU regulatory changes (Companies Law, Contract, AML/CTF, sanctions,consumer/e-commerce) and brief teams with clear actions Partner with Finance and Operations regarding onboarding (KYC/KYB /AML Compliance) and with HR regarding employee policies and documents Own improvement projects (e-signature policy, CLM pilot, retention schedule) Requirements: Bachelors Degree in related fields Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate/commercial or in-house legal work (across multiple jurisdictions) Solid drafting/negotiation skills across core commercial agreements (NDAs, MSAs, DPAs, licensing/SaaS) Professional experience of Cyprus Companies Law, EU law, GDPR, and common AML/CTF concepts Proficiency with Microsoft 365/Google Workspace Excellent English language knowledge (verbal and written) Nice to have:  Admission to the bar in an EU Member State or a recognized international/common-law jurisdiction Experience in financial services/fintech/EMI or tech/Saas Exposure to CLM tools (e.g., Ironclad, DocuSign CLM) Familiarity with information security frameworks (ISO 27001) Benefits: Flexible hybrid work setup (remote and from office in Limassol) Relocation package for EU citizens to support your move to Cyprus Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications Be part of a dynamic, innovative team in a fast-growing tech environment Genuine opportunities for growth and continuous professional development
