Maintenance Fitter

Plant/Site: JBS Beef City Plant Req Id: 15950 Date Posted: 19 Aug 2026 About the Role JBS is looking for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join the maintenance team at our Beef City processing plant. You will keep our plant running safely, reliably and with minimal downtime, as part of a high-performing team delivering some of Australia's best beef brands to customers around the world. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with optional overtime available on Saturdays (where available). Night shift options are also available. 1st year of service: Day shift – $1,885 per week After 1st year of service: Day shift – $1,932 per week About You Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III) Background in manufacturing, processing, or heavy industry Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Comfortable working autonomously or as part of a team Safety-first mindset Why Join JBS? The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in southern hemisphere. Specialising in grain-fed beef production, the plant employs approximately 900 employees with a current processing capacity of 1,100 cattle per day and has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers.
