Job Title: Maintenance Manager – Hot Rolling Mill

Job Location: Shreveport, LA

Compensation: Base Salary: $130,000–$160,000 + Performance Bonus

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations for a Hot Rolling Mill. This leadership position is responsible for driving safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance strategies while maximizing equipment availability and operational performance. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 60 employees, including 3 direct reports, and play a key role in improving plant reliability, maintenance processes, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all maintenance operations for the Hot Rolling Mill, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production.
• Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime.
• Plan and oversee scheduled outages, shutdowns, and major maintenance projects.
• Manage maintenance budgets, cost control initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
• Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors, planners, and maintenance technicians.
• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Production, and external contractors to improve plant performance.
• Manage capital improvement and equipment upgrade projects from planning through execution.
• Utilize maintenance management systems (SAP PM or similar CMMS) to monitor maintenance performance and optimize asset reliability.
• Foster a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Build and maintain relationships with equipment suppliers, contractors, and service providers.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of maintenance leadership experience within heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in a Steel Mill or Hot Rolling Mill environment is required.
• Strong operations and maintenance leadership experience.
• Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, PLC fundamentals, and rotating equipment.
• Experience leading maintenance shutdowns, outages, and capital improvement projects.
• Experience with SAP PM or other CMMS platforms.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
