Job Title: Maintenance Manager – Hot Rolling Mill

Base Salary: $130,000–$160,000 + Performance Bonus

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations for a high-volume Hot Rolling Mill in Shreveport, LA.

This is a key leadership position responsible for developing and executing maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability, maximize uptime, control costs, and support safe, efficient plant operations.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will lead a team of approximately 60 employees, including 3 direct reports, and will play a critical role in driving maintenance excellence, plant reliability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all maintenance operations for the Hot Rolling Mill, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
• Plan and oversee scheduled outages, shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance projects.
• Manage maintenance budgets, cost-control initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance supervisors, planners, technicians, and other team members.
• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Production, and external contractors to improve overall plant performance.
• Manage capital improvement and equipment upgrade projects from planning through execution.
• Utilize SAP PM or similar CMMS platforms to monitor maintenance performance, manage assets, and improve reliability.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable industry regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with equipment suppliers, contractors, and service providers.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of maintenance leadership experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Required: Steel Mill or Hot Rolling Mill experience.
• Strong operations and maintenance leadership experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of:
• Mechanical systems
• Electrical systems
• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics
• PLC fundamentals
• Rotating equipment
• Experience leading maintenance shutdowns, outages, turnarounds, and capital improvement projects.
• Experience using SAP PM or other CMMS platforms.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent hands-on industry experience will also be considered.

Compensation & Relocation Package:

• Base Salary: $130,000–$160,000
• Performance Bonus
