Northrop Grumman Defense System Sector is currently seeking a Production Maintenance Manager 1 to join our team in Rocket Center, WV, just outside of Cumberland, MD. The Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL) site in Rocket Center designs, develops, and manufactures tactical rocket motors, medium caliber ammunition, composite components and end items, and fuze and electronics equipment. Basic Qualifications: High school diploma with 10 years of demonstrated experience as a lead or a supervisor in a manufacturing setting OR Associates/Bachelors college degree in a technical or management field with 6 years of experience. Availability and willingness to work any shift including some weekends as required. Ability to provide sound judgment to ensure overall quality and efficiency of the department. Experience using Microsoft Word and MS Office Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic equipment Eligible to obtain a DoD Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite Flexible with work assignments. Proactive safety attitude. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with factory maintenance, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, utility systems Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude Prior experience working in a union environment Experience with Lean manufacturing techniques Experience leading a team of highly trained maintenance staff Ability to plan, schedule and follow up on assigned work progress Ability to cover weekend on call and respond as required for unplanned events Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo, L2L Dispatch, SAP etc. Working knowledge of one or more of the following, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, compressors, tempered water systems, steam production, wastewater systems, high voltage systems etc. Current WV Class II Drinking Water License Current WV Class “S” Wastewater Treatment certification Industrial Maintenance, Supervision or Journeyman certification is a plus Primary Level Salary Range: $86,300.00 - $129,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
