Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join our US & Cross-border tax team within our Private Business and Family Advisory division.

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in one of the leading US individual and private client tax practices in Australia.

You will work closely with a diverse, high-value client base including internationally mobile executives, entrepreneurial founders, family groups, and global mobility programs providing tailored, high-touch advice on complex cross-border matters.

Your portfolio will include:

• Australian executives and founders relocating to the US
• High-net-worth US citizens and families based in Australia

You will work directly with clients and Partners, playing a key role in both technical delivery and strategic growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Lead end-to-end US & Australian tax compliance, including review and sign-off of complex individual returns
• Drive operational excellence, leveraging technology and AI to improve processes and scalability
• Manage and develop a growing team, including onshore and offshore resources
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering clear, practical guidance on complex cross-border tax issues
• Build strong client relationships, serving as a key point of contact
• Contribute to growth, including client proposals and new business development

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a commercially minded manager who is both technically strong and energised by growth.

You will bring:

• Strong experience in US expatriate / cross-border individual tax
• A proactive, independent mindset with the confidence to take ownership
• A passion for innovation, process improvement, and technology-enabled delivery
• Experience working with offshore tax preparation teams
• A demonstrated focus on client service and relationship building
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality outcomes
• Proven experience mentoring and developing staff
• US CPA or Enrolled Agent qualification

Experience in both Australian and US tax is highly regarded, but not essential. We welcome international candidates with US expat tax experience, with visa and relocation support available.
