In this role, you may work from one of the following locations: • Danvers, MA • North Haven, CT • Fort Worth, TX • Brooklyn Center, MN • Rice Creek, MN • Mounds View, MN • Plymouth, MN • Warsaw, IN • Tempe, AZ • Boulder, CO • Tijuana, MX This role requires approximately 50–60% travel and is expected to support ongoing integration activities across multiple sites for several years. Medtronic continues to expand through the acquisition of innovative technologies, products, and manufacturing capabilities. As a Manufacturing Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in helping newly acquired manufacturing sites successfully become part of Medtronic by connecting people, processes, equipment, and technology across the enterprise. In this role, you will own the engineering and equipment integration roadmap, partnering directly with site engineering teams to standardize equipment documentation, align engineering practices, support capital equipment initiatives, and connect local teams with Medtronic's Manufacturing Technology COEs, Operations Innovation team, and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering organizations. Success requires both strong technical expertise and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. You'll help shape how Medtronic integrates future acquisitions while working with manufacturing technologies such as grinding, coating, coiling, laser cutting, automation, and software-enabled equipment. CAREERS THAT CHANGE LIVES Own and execute the engineering and equipment integration roadmap for acquired manufacturing sites. Provide technical leadership for manufacturing technologies including grinding, coating, coiling, automation, and custom equipment. Lead a team of up to 10 cross-functional people and manage a budget up to $5M. Develop CARs for new capital expenditures and support in-flight capital projects. Drive definition of integration plans, milestone tracking, issue management, and executive reporting. Lead the development and standardization of equipment documentation packages aligned with Medtronic engineering standards. Scoping and execution of OEE, Yield, and other OpEx process improvement programs Connect site teams with Manufacturing Technology COEs, Operations Innovation, OU AME teams, and other technical subject matter experts. Identify core vs non-core technologies and support Make Vs Buy decisions Support acquisition, development, deployment, and modernization of manufacturing tooling, equipment and controls systems. Partner with stakeholders across engineering, operations, quality, facilities, EHS and leadership to identify and mitigate technical integration risks. Build trusted relationships with site engineering teams and serve as the primary engineering integration partner during transition into Medtronic. Support enterprise integration efforts by capturing and applying lessons learned to future acquisitions. MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications) 10+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree OR 8+ years of experience with an advanced degree NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications) DMAIC and Lean Manufacturing Green Belt Continuous Improvement and Best Practice/Standard work mindset Experience developing, validating and deploying, or supporting custom manufacturing equipment. Experience with manufacturing technologies such as grinding, coating, coiling, , automation, or equipment controls. Working knowledge of PLC programming and/or Python for manufacturing or equipment applications. Experience acquiring, qualifying, deploying, or improving capital equipment. Experience developing equipment documentation packages and supporting engineering change processes. Familiarity with Medtronic engineering systems, standards, and operational processes. Experience working within a manufacturing site engineering organization. Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence without authority, and work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups. Experience collaborating with Manufacturing Technology, Operations Innovation, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, or similar engineering organizations. Experience supporting manufacturing integrations, technology transfers, or organizational transitions. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required. PR) locations (USD):$152,800.00 - $229,200.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
