Position Overview Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Manufacturing Technician plays a key role in producing precision aircraft components that support the safety, reliability, and performance of helicopters operating around the world. Working as part of a skilled manufacturing team, this position is responsible for fabricating and assembling sheet metal components using a variety of tools, machinery, and manufacturing processes while ensuring every part meets engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and Alpine Aerotech's quality standards. Through precision craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement, the Manufacturing Technician helps deliver products that meet the demanding standards of the aviation industry. Why This Role Matters Every aircraft component we manufacture plays an important role in ensuring helicopters remain safe, reliable, and mission-ready. As a Manufacturing Technician, your craftsmanship and attention to detail help transform raw materials into precision components that meet the demanding standards of the aviation industry. The quality of your work directly supports Alpine Aerotech's reputation for excellence while helping deliver high-quality aircraft components that customers around the world depend on. How You'll Make an Impact Manufacturing & Assembly Fabricate and assemble precision sheet metal components in accordance with engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, and company standards. Perform manufacturing processes including deburring, drilling, CNC and cold forming, riveting, dimpling, resistance welding, grinding, sanding, blasting, and other production operations. Safely operate a variety of manufacturing equipment and machinery, including press brakes, riveter/dimplers, resistance welders, pneumatic hand tools, and other production equipment. Inspect completed components to verify they meet quality, dimensional, and workmanship requirements. Quality & Production Support Complete production documentation, labour tracking, inventory transactions, and work order requirements accurately and efficiently. Support manufacturing, production, and shop activities while contributing to team productivity and operational goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment that supports quality manufacturing and operational excellence. Follow all company procedures, safe work practices, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Teamwork & Technical Excellence Collaborate with fellow manufacturing technicians, quality inspectors, and leadership to meet production schedules while maintaining Alpine Aerotech's high standards for quality and craftsmanship. Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail that supports Alpine Aerotech's reputation for manufacturing excellence. Continuous Improvement Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, productivity, and manufacturing performance. Continuously develop technical knowledge and manufacturing skills while supporting improvements to processes, equipment, and production methods. What You'll Bring to Our Team Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. Previous manufacturing, fabrication, sheet metal, mechanical, aerospace, or production experience is considered an asset. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate tools, machinery, and manufacturing equipment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, technical instructions, and manufacturing documentation. Valid Driver's Licence. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities. Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment. Professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information. Continuous improvement mindset with a commitment to ongoing learning and developing new technical skills.
