Marketing and Communications Coordinator

The Office of Health Economics (https://www.ohe.org/) wishes to recruit a highly organised and motivated Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our Marketing and Communications team. This is a permanent, entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in communications, digital marketing, or media and PR within a respected, mission-driven research organisation.

The OHE is a London-based, not-for-profit, economic research organisation founded in 1962. With over 60 years of expertise, we are the world's oldest independent health economics research organisation. We are a team of 35+ mostly economists working to improve health care through pioneering research, analysis, and education. Our international scope and client portfolio span the public, private and charitable sectors, and all of our work is available for free online at www.ohe.org.

The main purpose of the role is to help ensure that OHE's communications run smoothly day to day, taking on a defined set of content production, channel management, media support and coordination tasks. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications and working closely with marketing, communications and external affairs colleagues, as well as our economists, you will help ensure that OHE's research and expertise reach the right audiences at the right time.

Your responsibilities will span three related areas:

Digital content and channels: drafting, scheduling and publishing social media content across OHE’s channels; building, testing and sending e-newsletters and email campaigns; and making routine updates to the OHE website using the CMS, following the agreed content calendar and brand templates

Media and PR support: running daily media monitoring and compiling coverage clippings; maintaining media lists and journalist contacts; and drafting first versions of press releases, response quotes and event listings from briefs, for review by the Media and PR Officer.

Brand, coordination and admin: applying OHE’s brand guidelines, style guide and tone of voice consistently across outputs; maintaining the integrated content calendar and coordinating sign-off workflows; and pulling analytics from social platforms, Google Analytics and HubSpot to prepare regular performance reporting

Candidates must:

• have proven experience in a communications, marketing, PR or media role, through employment, internship, placement, or volunteering;

• have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload of assigned tasks and deadlines;

• have excellent written English, with a keen eye for detail and proofreading;

• be familiar with at least one of a social media scheduling tool, a website CMS, or an email marketing platform;

• have a proactive, can-do attitude, with a willingness to ask questions, take feedback and learn new tools.

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

- an interest in health, health policy or research communications;

- a qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Marketing or PR);

- experience producing visual content using tools such as Canva or the Adobe suite;

- working knowledge of HubSpot, WordPress or Google Analytics.

The OHE is committed to equality of opportunity in all areas of its work. All individuals will be treated in a fair and equal manner at any stage in the recruitment process on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, maternity, pregnancy, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.

Place of Work

This role is hybrid, meaning that you have flexibility to work remotely and to work from our London Bridge office. Candidates must however be located within an easy commute to London as there will be the requirement to work at our offices in London for certain staff meetings or events, and to collaborate with colleagues for some project activities.

Salary and Company Benefits

The salary for this role is £30,000–£35,000 depending on experience. In addition, you will receive 25 days holiday plus 3/4 days off at Christmas, 6% minimum employer pension contributions (double employee contribution up to 10%), life assurance, private medical insurance, travel insurance, group income protection and a monthly wellbeing allowance. For further information about the benefits please contact OHE’s HR partners at [email protected] .

Visa Sponsorship

Please note that under the new Standard Threshold provisions issued by the HMG governing Skilled Worker Visas this post does not automatically meet the minimum salary requirements to satisfy the conditions needed for a Skilled Worker Visa for any applicant that will require such a visa to legally work in the UK. If you are recruited, we cannot guarantee that HMG will grant a Skilled Worker Visa.

How to Apply

Applications should include a CV (no longer than two pages) and a cover letter (1–2 pages) explaining how you meet the requirements of the role. Please submit your full application to [email protected] by midnight (BST) on 16th August 2026.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview, which will take place between 7 – 18 September.

OHE reserves the right to close this vacancy early if sufficient applications are received for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.
