About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Design Drafter to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing 2D and 3D designs across a wide range of mechanical and process engineering projects. Your work will directly support major design and manufacturing activities, and contribute to the successful delivery of turnkey engineering solutions. You will work closely with engineers, clients and internal teams to develop practical, cost-effective designs tailored to client needs. This is a hands-on position with a mix of office-based drafting and on-site inspection work. Responsibilities Create detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings and 3D Inventor models Interpret engineering requirements and contribute to design solutions Conduct site inspections, take measurements, and liaise with clients and suppliers Support project planning, quotation preparation, and contract administration Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to resolve technical issues Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting and design practices Qualifications Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification; or Trade background with strong mechanical drafting experience Required Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor software Experience in heavy industry or large-scale manufacturing projects (desirable) Preferred Skills Strong technical problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external clients Sound understanding of engineering design principles and manufacturing processes Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Pay range and compensation package A relocation package or assistance with housing may be negotiated for the right candidate.
