Mechanical Design Engineer | £60,000 plus share options | Market Harborough, Leicestershire
Anyone can assemble a drone from stock components. We are not looking for that person.
Eyebrook Technologies is a UK defence technology company founded by two former Royal Artillery officers. We are building AURIS: a passive counter-UAS system that detects and classifies small drones without emitting anything, paired with a soft-kill interceptor. Defensive sensing and capture, not a weapon. Our customers are the UK prison estate, critical national infrastructure operators and Ministry of Defence fixed sites.
We are two directors with a patent pending, a research collaboration with Cranfield University and a fully funded twelve month Innovate UK programme. We need our founding engineer.
You would own the physical product: interceptor airframe, structures, actuation, sensor head integration and the rigs that prove it works. Concept to CAD to working hardware, in weeks rather than quarters.
What we need is someone who can make components that were never designed to work together behave as one reliable system. Strong CAD is essential in whichever format you use. So is being genuinely electronically minded: schematics, actuators, power budgets, wiring looms. Hands-on fabrication too.
We do not care where you learned it. Motorsport, aerospace, military engineering, robotics or your own workshop all count equally. Portfolio beats certificate.
£60,000 plus EMI share options, on site near Market Harborough. Must be eligible for UK SC clearance, which we will sponsor.
To apply, send a CV and one page showing three things you have built, with a line on what the hard part was in each. No cover letter needed.
