Mechanical Design Engineer

Logatec, Slovenia | Relocation support available

On-site collaboration with the software and manufacturing team.

Design the mechanical systems behind autonomous machines.

At PEK Automotive we develop and manufacture autonomous electric vehicles and robotic systems used in agriculture, rescue operations and other demanding outdoor environments.

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and wants to work on products that move from concept to real-world operation.

You will be involved in the development of complete robotic systems, from drivetrain design and kinematic calculations to prototype testing and product validation.

What you will work on:

• Development of drivetrain systems for autonomous electric machines

• Mechanical design and optimization of robotic and vehicle systems using SolidWorks

• Kinematic calculations and strength analysis of mechanical components and assemblies

• Development of technological equipment and tooling for machine assembly

• Design of electro-mechanical interfaces and agricultural attachments for autonomous robots

• Creation of manufacturing documentation and engineering drawings

• Prototype development, testing and validation of robotic systems

• Collaboration with electronics, firmware and manufacturing teams throughout product development

• Supporting products from concept to production

What we are looking for:

• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development

• Strong experience with SolidWorks

• Experience designing moving mechanical systems and assemblies

• Understanding of drivetrain systems, kinematics and mechanical calculations

• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering design principles

• Good command of English

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset

Nice to have:

• Experience in robotics, autonomous systems or agricultural machinery

• Experience with electric vehicles or mobile machines

• Experience developing complex electromechanical products
