Summary: This job description reflects potential openings for the Summer/Fall 2026 Co-op/Internship Session . L-H Battery Company will offer both single and multi-semester co-ops and internships. College students must apply to the requisition pertaining to their major and semester of interest. Responsibilities: Updating and documenting Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings of existing infrastructure Supporting or under the direction of other Senior Engineers or leading the following: Analyzing and designing existing sanitation, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and building pressure systems Developing short and long-term solutions to problems found Designing modifications of existing facilities infrastructures Updating mechanical engineering specifications and standards Reviewing mechanical drawings Learning and understanding plant mechanical infrastructure Verifying mechanical construction Trouble shooting reports Supporting SRP/CESS/Hot Oil Boiler and Environmental Equipment All safety related items Construction projects and construction verification And all other duties as assigned Requirements: Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship General Engineering Coursework Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher (You will be required to provide your current transcript) Class status- Sophomore (by credit hour) or above Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week. Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program studying Mechanical Engineering or related field. Valid U.S. Driver's License (exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis) Ability to provide own transportation to and from work each day.
