About the role We are looking for a Mechanical Maintainer to join our Mine Water Management / Dewatering Team at our Weast Angelas Mining Operation. This role is a great opportunity for safety conscious individual looking to continually improve and contribute to our culture and world class asset. You’ll be part of a friendly and high performing team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. The roster is 8 days on, 6 off which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life. This role offers fly in, fly out from Perth Broome or Busselton airports. Reporting to the Mine Water Management Supervisor, you will include Fulfill diesel powered generator servicing tasks and genset breakdowns Carrying out scheduled Dewatering Maintenance in areas including water supply bore fields Carrying out general maintenance and breakdown repairs for water supply bore fields Support the safety culture and ensure that the RTIO core values are always adhered. Responsible for identifying critical spares and maintaining accurate inventory for Dewatering Adhere to all Rio Tinto standards, policies and procedures. Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and implementing improvement opportunities utilising a range of Rio Tinto best practices. Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties. West Angelas is a pioneer in autonomous technologies – it was the first site to trial autonomous haul trucks and incorporate autonomous drilling into our operations in 2008, and we continue to have one of the largest mining fleets in the Pilbara. Our high-grade, low-phosphorous Marra Mamba orebody is an integral part of the Pilbara Blend, contributing both lump and fines products on around four trains each day. At the West Angelas hub there are state-of-the-art power generation and refueling facilities. These facilities supply power and diesel fuel to the East Pilbara mine sites. The future is bright at West Angelas with ongoing growth projects at Deposits C and D, as well as additional deposits under study providing enormous opportunities for personal development and career growth.
