About GXL

GXL is building AI-native tools for drug discovery and biomedical research. We are looking for a Member of Technical Staff to help design, build, and deploy the systems that power this work.

You will work across the technical stack, including AI agents, scientific data infrastructure, developer tools, and product systems. This is a broad engineering role for someone comfortable moving between research problems and production software.

What you’ll do

Build AI-native tools and systems for drug discovery

Develop infrastructure for working with scientific and biomedical data

Design and improve AI agents, workflows, and evaluation systems

Work closely with researchers, engineers, and domain experts

Take ownership of projects from early exploration through production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, statistics, mathematics, or a related field
• Strong software engineering and problem-solving skills
• Experience building production systems or applied AI products
• Several years of relevant work experience preferred
• Master’s degree or PhD preferred
• Interest in applying AI to scientific and biomedical problems

Compensation

Salary range: $200k-$300k

Location: Our office is based in Palo Alto, CA and is in-person.

Visa sponsorship: Yes, we help you obtain a visa. We can't promise it for every role or every candidate, but if we make you an offer we'll do everything reasonable to make sponsorship work, we have immigration counsel.
