MEP Construction Safety Director - Occasional Travel

MEP Safety Director

We are seeking an experienced MEP Safety Director to lead safety initiatives across multiple mechanical construction projects and drive a strong culture of safety, compliance, and accountability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing safety programs within the mechanical construction industry and the ability to lead teams across large-scale commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects. This role will partner with project leadership, field teams, and operations to ensure safe project execution while continuously improving safety performance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee safety programs across multiple active MEP construction projects.
• Lead, mentor, and develop safety managers and field safety teams.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Partner with project teams to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor OSHA compliance, incident reporting, and safety metrics.
• Promote a proactive safety culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to improve overall project safety performance.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of safety experience within mechanical construction, MEP, or related construction industries.
• Proven experience leading safety programs across multiple large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and construction best practices.
• Experience managing and developing safety teams and field personnel.
• Ability to conduct investigations, audits, inspections, and safety training.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working on commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, or mission-critical projects preferred.
• CSP, CHST, or other safety certifications preferred.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
