Job Title: Metrology Engineer Job Description As a Metrology Engineer, you will program and support automated video inspection systems, utilizing Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other measurement equipment. You will develop new inspection programs for emerging products and troubleshoot inspection systems on the manufacturing floor. Your role includes supporting molding, stamping, and production operations, performing dimensional inspections for R&D and customer testing, generating capability studies and detailed reports, and collaborating with engineering teams to interpret prints and GD&T requirements. You will also assist Incoming Inspection with measurement programming needs. Responsibilities Program and support automated video inspection systems. Utilize CMMs and other measurement equipment. Develop new inspection programs for new products. Troubleshoot inspection systems on the manufacturing floor. Support molding, stamping, and production operations. Perform dimensional inspections for R&D and customer testing. Generate Capability Studies and detailed reports. Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret prints and GD&T requirements. Assist Incoming Inspection with measurement programming needs. Essential Skills 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment programming automated video equipment, CMM, or other measurement equipment. Technical background with inspection and testing experience. Proficiency in platforms such as zone 3, PC-DMIS, Zeiss Omen, Micro-VU Vertex, Python, Java, and configuration management software. Additional Skills & Qualifications Engineering mindset with an ability to optimize processes. Experience in Python and configuration management preferred. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Solid understanding of product offerings and data interpretation skills. Experience with 3D software and analytical tools such as SolidWorks, Minitab, or JMP. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications, especially Excel. Ability to travel to domestic and global facilities, vendors, and training centers. Capability to sit/stand for extended periods without sensory deprivation or paralysis. Work Environment The work environment is a highly automated manufacturing setting, located onsite in North America. Flexible work hours are available, such as 8-5 or 7-4. The role may include some travel, and onsite training and relocation opportunities are provided. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of New Albany, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
