Supervisor - Mining Production | Supervisor - Haulage

This is a rare and unique opportunity to join the site leadership of a global mining organisation with a vision for ambitious growth and an enviable record of community engagement, sustainability and safety.

Reporting to the Superintendent - Mining, as the Supervisor - Mining Production and Supervisor - Haulage are responsible for supervising underground production stoping activities, including Drill and Blast, Load and Haul activities and associated services work, ensuring safe and efficient execution of the mine plan.

This role is offered on an 8/6 roster FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane and BIBO from Cloncurry & Mt.Isa.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan daily and weekly drill and blast activities to meet targets.
• Ensure underground mining activities (Services, Drilling, Cable bolting, Charge-up, Pumping and Load / Haul) comply with relevant procedures and standards.
• Ensure all work is planned and executed safely, following site instructions and risk management processes.
• Inspect work areas and address hazards to maintain safe conditions underground.
• Collaborate with the Mining Coordinator to ensure compliance with schedule requirements.
• Follow escalation protocols for incidents and emergencies.
• Support other mining teams as needed.
• Demonstrate behaviours that are always aligned with the MMG Values and Code of Conduct
  

About You

• Proven supervisory experience in an underground mining environment, with a track record of leading teams to safely meet production targets.
  

• Experience applying risk management processes, safety procedures, and escalation protocols in a high-risk environment.
  

• Extensive knowledge of underground production systems, mining methods, and equipment, including drill and blast operations.
  

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills to coordinate with teams and escalate issues when required.
  

• Strong leadership with the ability to hold individuals and teams accountable for safety, performance, and compliance with site standards and procedures.
  

• Shift Supervisor certification.
  

• Certificate IV in Surface/Underground Operations or equivalent (advantageous).
  

• QSEC (or ability to obtain)

Remuneration for this role includes a competitive salary package, annual bonus and generous local allowances for employees living in the local community of Cloncurry and Mt Isa.
