ML Researcher – Healthcare AI Startup

About The Opportunity

A well-funded Healthcare AI startup is seeking an experienced ML Researcher to help build the next generation of AI capabilities.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role working directly with founders and senior engineers to develop reinforcement learning environments, evaluation frameworks, datasets, verification systems, and AI tooling used to train and evaluate advanced AI models.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and improve Reinforcement Learning (RL) environments
• Develop evaluation and benchmarking frameworks
• Create high-quality datasets and verification systems
• Improve AI research and development tooling
• Develop production-ready ML systems
• Collaborate directly with founders and senior engineering leaders
• Research and implement new approaches to improve AI capabilities
• Help shape the company's long-term technical and research direction
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 2–7 years of Machine Learning experience
• Strong experience with Reinforcement Learning and/or Multimodal AI
• Experience building and deploying production ML systems
• Strong software engineering and programming skills
• Ability to explain previous technical work deeply and clearly
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High ownership mentality
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
