Job Description Summary At GE Vernova, we are united by a single, urgent, and optimistic mission: electrify and decarbonize. The world needs us to accelerate the transition to more reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy. Together, we have the energy to change the world. What impact you'll make: Gas Power customers depend on their plants to perform — every hour, every day. An unplanned outage, a customer event, or a forced derating is not just a technical problem. It is lost generation capacity, contract risk, and a direct measure of whether GE Vernova kept its promise. As the M&D Insight Central Leader, you will lead the team responsible for making sure that does not happen — and when risk appears in the data, that it gets acted on before it becomes an unplanned day. This is a newly created leadership role at the center of a strategic reorganization — one designed to sharpen focus on a critical objective: ensuring that proactive insights don't just get generated, they drive customer decisions and outcomes. You will build the discipline, standards, and partnerships that transform real-time fleet data into plant availability improvements, fewer customer events, and measurable reductions in unplanned downtime. Your leadership will directly drive: • Proactive fleet protection — leading engineers with deep domain expertise across Gas Power equipment and failure modes who deliver predictive, analytics-driven insights that identify risks before they become unplanned outage days or customer events, improving plant availability and protecting customers' operating commitments • Technical standards ownership — establishing and governing the frameworks and standard work that define how M&D engineers deliver consistent, high-quality insights globally • Analytics Foundry partnership — working directly with the Analytics Foundry team to shape the development and prioritization of anomaly detection and fleet insight analytics, ensuring that what gets built is grounded in the failure modes and customer situations your team encounters every day • Fleet Reliability partnership — integrating Fleet Reliability Engineering's probabilistic risk models and reliability analysis into the insight work your team delivers, so that insights carry quantified risk and economic context — not just anomaly detection • Global insight quality — providing standards and quality accountability across Pole teams in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia, with a shared commitment to consistent, high-quality insight delivery globally This role sits on the Fleet Operational Intelligence leadership team, reporting to the Fleet Operational Intelligence Leader. You will partner with peer Pole Diagnostics & Response and Fleet Operational Intelligence leaders — making the ability to build trust, align without authority, and influence across organizational lines as important as direct team leadership. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Lead a team of engineers with deep domain expertise across Gas Power equipment and failure modes who deliver proactive, predictive insights — identifying equipment risks before they become unplanned outage days, customer events, or emergent repair scopes — and partner with customers and Pole teams to ensure those insights drive action Own the technical standards, standard work guides, and governance frameworks that define how monitoring and diagnostics engineers deliver insights across all Poles Support insight quality consistency across global Pole teams in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia, working in partnership with Pole Diagnostics & Response people leaders to share standards, tools, and feedback loops Collaborate with the Analytics Foundry team to influence the development and enhancement of analytics capabilities that increase the value and reach of fleet intelligence — grounding development priorities in the failure modes and customer situations your team surfaces every day Collaborate with Fleet Reliability Engineering to incorporate probabilistic risk assessment and reliability models into M&D Insight Central's insight development process, ensuring insights are quantified in terms of fleet risk and economic impact — not just anomaly detection Lead team members that work hands-on technical cases within defined engineering spaces, producing actionable insights and modeling best practices for the wider team Foster a Lean culture in which standard work and daily management drive continuous improvement in team performance and customer outcomes Communicate technical findings, recommendations, and performance results clearly to internal stakeholders and external customers at all organizational levels Develop engineering talent by coaching, mentoring, and building individual and team capability to meet the evolving demands of a data-intelligence-driven environment Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution 6+ years of process or technical domain ownership, including development of standards, governance structures, or operational frameworks Demonstrated experience operating in a matrixed or global organizational structure with cross-functional or dotted-line accountability Desired Characteristics 3+ years of direct people leadership, with demonstrated accountability for team performance and talent development Experience in Gas Power services and equipment monitoring and diagnostics, or related operational technology disciplines Familiarity with analytics development or AI/ML-powered operational intelligence tools Lean or Operational Excellence certification, or demonstrated application of Lean principles at organizational scale Demonstrated ability to generate organizational or functional strategy and drive it to execution — translating vision into structured plans, measurable milestones, and sustained operational outcomes Proven ability to synthesize complex technical or analytical information and translate it into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse audiences Outcome-oriented — motivated by reducing unplanned outage days and customer events, not just delivering insights on time; understands that insight delivery is the beginning of value creation, not the end Customer-focused with clear, concise written and oral communication tailored to the appropriate audience — from engineers to executives Servant leadership mindset — invested in the success and growth of others ahead of personal recognition Restless dissatisfaction with the status quo, with a bias toward structured, sustainable continuous improvement Data-driven but decisive — comfortable acting with conviction in the face of ambiguity or incomplete information Humble, open, and continuously learning — with a One Team mentality that prioritizes customer outcomes over internal boundaries GE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
