Drive Cleaning Process Excellence in Biomanufacturing. Join Lonza BioAtrium as the technical owner of manufacturing cleaning processes. In this highly visible role, you will drive cleaning process performance, CIP/COP optimization, equipment cleaning strategies, and cleaning innovation across a world-class biologics manufacturing facility. Working closely with Manufacturing, QA, QC, Engineering, Automation, Validation, and customers, you will ensure cleaning processes remain efficient, compliant, robust, and inspection-ready. This is a fully site‑based role. What you will do: Own and continuously improve manufacturing cleaning processes and equipment cleaning strategies. Develop compliant cleaning concepts in collaboration with QA and cross-functional stakeholders. Drive standardization and optimization of cleaning processes across manufacturing assets. Lead CIP/COP improvement initiatives to enhance process robustness and operational efficiency. Coordinate cleaning method development with Manufacturing, QC, R&D, and QA. Lead cleaning-related risk assessments and support implementation of resulting actions. Support process transfers, manufacturing campaigns, investigations, deviations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Act as the technical expert for equipment cleaning during customer interactions, audits, and inspections. Identify and implement innovative cleaning technologies and industry best practices. Ensure activities comply with GMP requirements and approved procedures. What we are looking for: BSc/MSc or PhD in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline. Strong experience (at least 5-10 years) in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and GMP operations. Expertise in equipment cleaning processes (at least 3 years), CIP ( Clean-In-Place )/COP ( Clean-Out-of-Place) systems, process improvement, and manufacturing support. Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and solve complex manufacturing challenges. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
