The full list of our global benefits can be found here: Employee Benefits | Lonza What you will do: Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Raw Materials and Single-Use Systems within MSAT Microbial. Lead risk assessments and evaluate material impact on process performance, product quality, and supply continuity. Drive material-related investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls in compliance with GMP requirements. Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, QA, QC, Supply Chain, Engineering, Process Development, and external suppliers to resolve technical challenges. Support material lifecycle management, supplier management, and implementation of mitigation strategies to ensure manufacturing reliability. Provide technical leadership for material qualification, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Drive standardization and harmonization of material management and single-use system practices in alignment with local and global teams, ensuring consistent application of best practices across the organization. Support regulatory inspections, customer audits, and GMP compliance activities. What we are looking for: Master's degree or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline. Extensive experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, process support, material management, or related GMP-regulated environments. Strong expertise in Raw Materials, Single-Use Systems, supplier management, and lifecycle management. Profound understanding of GMP requirements, risk management methodologies, deviations, CAPAs, and change control processes. Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving complex technical investigations. Ability to lead and influence cross-functional stakeholders without formal line authority, driving alignment, standardization, and execution of material management and single-use system initiatives. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with internal and external partners. Ability to balance scientific, operational, quality, and business requirements in decision making. Structured, solution-oriented, and proactive working style. Fluency in English; German is considered an advantage.
