Position Highlights Practice & Role Employed, full-time Neurosurgery position with Western Neuro, a 30-year established practice Spine fellowship training preferred; new graduates welcome to apply Join a cohesive multidisciplinary team with decades of experience Established referral network and strong regional reputation Dedicated Physician Assistant assigned to each neurosurgeon for clinic, first assist, inpatient rounds, and call coverage Dedicated Medical Assistant assigned to each neurosurgeon Dedicated Program Coordinator supporting clinic and surgical scheduling Schedule & Call OR block time: minimum 2 days per week Clinic on non-operative days, with inpatient rounding before clinic and between cases as needed Clinic volume: 12–14 patients per day Surgical volume: 4–6 surgeries per week average, higher while on call Call coverage: one hospital, Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital (Level I Trauma Center) Call schedule: 1:5 rotation, one-week blocks (Monday–Monday) Full PA support during call, 30-minute response time requirement OR & Technology Four dedicated Neurosurgical Operating Rooms Two ORs with Intraoperative CT and BrainLab BrainSuite technology Two ORs with comprehensive neuronavigation capabilities What We Offer Strong hospital and administrative support Malpractice insurance provided Health, dental, and life insurance 401(k) with employer matching Deferred compensation program Relocation assistance Candidate Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery Eligible for Arizona medical licensure Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care Strong team-oriented approach Why Tucson Tucson delivers more than 300 days of sunshine a year alongside dramatic desert and mountain scenery, giving you a lifestyle built around the outdoors.
