Job Summary The New Product Manufacturing Engineer supports the introduction of new products from design through manufacturing readiness and production release. This role partners closely with Design Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Suppliers to develop robust manufacturing solutions, ensure build readiness, and resolve issues during development and early production phases. NPME candidate will work independently on moderately complex assemblies or modules while receiving technical guidance for higher-risk decisions and broader program strategy. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and release new product Bills of Material (BOMs) for simple to moderately complex assemblies. Support development and execution of manufacturing, test, and sourcing strategies for new products in collaboration with senior NPMEs. Develop, validate, and release Operation Method Sheets (OMS) and related build/test documentation Participate in design reviews, providing Design-for-Excellence (DFx) feedback to improve manufacturability, cost, quality, and cycle time. Support virtual build activities, including basic 3D model review, Master Layout (MLO), and early manufacturing validations. Execute and support change control processes, including ECRs, NSRs, ESWs, and related documentation. Perform managed build activities for assigned assemblies or modules.provide hands-on manufacturing floor support as needed Document manufacturing issues and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions. Provide technical support to manufacturing sites and suppliers during development and early production. Manage and execute tasks within assigned programs, including milestone tracking, documentation, and resource planning Capture lessons learned and incorporate improvements into future release Leadership Works independently with minimal supervision on medium to complex NPI scope Learns from and seeks guidance from senior engineers and technical leads Lead small to medium projects with manageable risk and resource requirements Demonstrates accountability for assigned work and follows through on commitments Collaborates effectively within cross-functional teams Problem Solving & Impact Solves manufacturing and NPI problems using established engineering methods and sound judgment. Analyzes data to identify issues and supports corrective and preventive actions. Directly impacts manufacturing readiness, build quality, and schedule adherence for new products. Early engagement helps reduce downstream manufacturing disruptions and rework. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline. 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, NPI, or a related engineering role. Working knowledge of: Manufacturing processes and DFM principles BOM structures and engineering documentation Change control processes (ECO, NSR, and ESW workflows) Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment. Willingness to learn and grow technical and manufacturing expertise. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting modules or assemblies through development and early production. Familiarity with OMS development, virtual builds, or manufacturing validation activities. Exposure to machining, sheet metal, casting, molding, or similar manufacturing processes. Experience working with global manufacturing sites or suppliers. Proficiency with common engineering and collaboration tools (e.g., CAD viewers, PLM systems, Microsoft Office). Ability to read mechanical drawings and basic electrical or pneumatic schematics Prior experience in manufacturing engineering, NPI, or related roles Travel Up to 10%, as required for manufacturing or supplier support.
