Night Porter - Receptionist

YellowSquare is looking for a reliable, professional, and proactive Night Porter - Receptionist for our vibrant Florence hostel. Located in the heart of the city, this role is the heartbeat of our nights: you’ll be the go-to person for our guests when the sun goes down, balancing administrative precision with a watchful eye on the hostel’s safety.

What you’ll do:

• Front Desk Management: Dealing with bookings and managing the front desk during the night shift.


• Guest Operations: Completing smooth Check-in and Check-out procedures.


• Financial Accuracy: Preparing bills, taking payments, and ensuring all night-audit tasks are spot on.


• Safety & Security: Patrol and secure hallways, common areas, and our Florence rooftop/entrances to maintain a safe environment.


• Problem Solving: Handling guest complaints or technical problems with a proactive mindset.


• Emergency Contact: Acting as the first point of contact for any emergencies during the night.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (hospitality or front desk).


• Hospitality Soul: Excellence in customer service—you know how to make a guest feel at home in the Cradle of the Renaissance.


• Cool Under Pressure: Ability to stay calm and professional in unexpected situations.


• Languages: High proficiency in spoken and written English (any other language is a big plus!).


• Flexibility: Availability for night shifts and a reliable work ethic.


• Team Spirit: A desire to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced environment.

What we offer:

• Salary & Contract: CCNL Turismo (Level 3), Full-Time (40 hours/week). The compensation is based on a full-time gross annual salary (RAL) of €25.1k;
