Job Description Summary The Nuclear Engineering Governance & Configuration Management (CM) leader is responsible for forming a new organization that will include Requirements Management, Design Process, Configuration Management, Export Control Tagging, Technical Regulations and Standards and Document Control. The new organization will establish and evolve the governance processes by which requirements are transformed into actionable product definition and regulatory documentation packages over the lifecycle of the Nuclear Power Plant from initial new product introduction, initial installation and commissioning of the plant through the services phase. The Team will act as the chair for the ECA process ensuring that technical design changes have a robust impact analysis and are applied to all impacted product structures across the engineering tool landscape. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: De termine the organization structure and roles and responsibilities for the newly formed team of ~50 GVH employees and ~40 contingent workers encompassing Requirements Management, Design Process, CM, Export Control Tagging, Technical Regulations, and Document Control . Th e role is a Senior Manager role which is a leader of leaders. Leverage INCOSE (International Council on Systems Engineering) standards for Configuration Management and Systems Engineering to align our technical regulations, standards, and design processes to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Partner effectively with Digital Engineering to design the processes and tool functionality for regulatory compliance, export control, governance and configuration management needs across the pillar engineering tools: PLM (Teamcenter), Octave (Hexagon), and the Autodesk Suite. Governance Framework: Define, implement, and evolve the governance processes that translate high-level requirements into actionable product definitions and regulatory documentation. Strengthen export control processes in accordance with guidance provided by the Chief Engineers Office. Technical Change Process : Establish a board structure for the Engineering Change Authorization (ECA) process with a CM acting as the chair . T echnical design changes undergo robust impact analysis across the entire engineering tool landscape to maintain a "single source of truth." Lifecycle Integrity: Maintain configuration baseline control across the plant lifecycle, ensuring that product structure remains consistent, traceable, and compliant with nuclear industry standards. Establish a process to re-use the BWRX-300 Standard Plant product structure and design on new projects. Strengthen existing document control processes and procedures. Partner with sourcing to ensure vendor engineering deliverables are received and processed into the internal systems of record. Partner with Project Engineering to ensure document control with partners/EPCs/end customers as per contract requirements. Lean tool (Kaizen) expectations: S treamline design process, E liminate inefficiencies, and improve overall engineering team productivity through Value Stream optimization and Lean tool set application. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a relevant STEM field. 10 years’ minimum experience in engineering design 5 years’ experience as a direct people leader Desired Characteristics: Role Model for the GE Vernova Way Lean mindset and is skilled in applying Lean tools to improve business operations. Experience in process use and development with regards to product definition development, bill of material management, configuration management concepts, program/project scheduling and field installation. Demonstrated external advocacy with INCOSE and other relevant systems engineering industry groups. CMII or CMPIC external Configuration Management theory & practice training as well as certification Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with design and system engineering counterparts Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with partners external to Engineering including materials management, order fulfillment and manufacturing – in both initial build and services contexts. Strong oral and written communication skills with peers and leadership Strong organizational, facilitation and leadership skills Flexible and adaptable to changes in priorities and Hoshin break through demands thru different business cycles Excellent communication and presentation abilities including working with large organizations and various levels of leadership, up to and including Senior Executive and Vice President leaders. Able to present key data effectively and clearly. Systems Thinking: Ability to map and manage complex requirements and design processes across large-scale, long-lifecycle technical projects. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong background in technical regulations and standards within the nuclear or similarly highly regulated safety-critical industries. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $150,900.00 and $289,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
