Learn more Job Description: Why Physicians Choose This Role The OB ICU/Cardio-OB referral expertise at Abbott Northwestern Hospital 24/7 hospitalist model providing labor and delivery coverage, obstetric emergency care, and inpatient gynecologic services - The two-physician model on Labor & Delivery Work alongside a highly collaborative team including Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, OB/GYN physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives, Family Medicine OB physicians, and experienced nursing staff Support community providers while maintaining continuity and quality of care for patients across the region without outpatient clinic responsibilities Enjoy a predictable schedule and greater work-life balance compared to traditional private practice models Job Highlights: Provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care, including Labor & Delivery, postpartum management, obstetric emergencies, and inpatient gynecologic consultations. Serve as a key member of a 24/7 hospitalist program, caring for both assigned and unassigned patients while ensuring rapid response to high-acuity clinical situations. Collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, Certified Nurse Midwives, Family Medicine OB physicians, and community OB/GYN providers to deliver coordinated, team-based care. Manage a diverse patient population ranging from routine obstetrics to medically and surgically complex maternal cases, including urgent operative deliveries. Utilize Epic (Excellian) within a flexible hospitalist model offering shared day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage. Competitive compensation and total rewards package. Casual status Required Qualifications Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved medical program Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in OB/GYN Job Requirements Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain) Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below: ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross ◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire) Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN upon hire required Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire required National Provider Identifier upon hire required Physical Demands Medium Work*: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently Pay Range ERROR ERROR Benefit Summary At Allina Health, we believe safe, compassionate care starts with supporting those who provide it.
