Project Overview: Bechtel Equipment Operations, Inc. (BEO), a wholly owned Bechtel affiliate company, functions as the construction equipment asset manager of Bechtel Group and is actively engaged in projects across all business lines. In support of its involvement, BEO uses sophisticated estimating and scheduling systems to assist projects in developing bid proposals, equipment lease versus purchase analysis, tool and consumable utilization forecasts, scaffold estimating and supply, and overall construction fleet utilization plans. Headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas, BEO also manages several permanent global equipment storage and support facilities. Job Summary: The Project Equipment Management System (PEMS) Administrator reports to the PEMS Supervior/Manager. This individual provides training and support in utilizing the Project Equipment Management System (PEMS) database, an asset management software system used in forecasting, tracking, and estimating of equipment for projects worldwide to the global Bechtel construction jobsite teams. May be in an office supporting project(s) or a site location. Analyzes and interprets data for billing, measurement of utilization, and deployment summaries. Maintains working relationships with project personnel. Maintains contacts with corporate functional departments such as Finance and Project Controls. Travel to project jobsites will be required (15% travel). "This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership” #LI-TH1 Major Responsibilities: Manage equipment data information and transfers in the database. Review PEMS data for accuracy and completeness; update as necessary Maintain and enhance equipment inventory database functionality by assisting with open program development items and testing. On or off- site project support scheduling and forecasting as required. Maintain construction equipment schedules for projects. Analyze, interpret and generate reports including but not limited to asset management control. Monitor project’s equipment plan/forecast/actuals. Complete requisitions for parts and equipment as needed. Manage recommended spare parts lists as needed. Provide training and technical guidance and assist with project data as required. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience Associate degree or related technical training preferred Required Knowledge and Skills: Experience in automated systems; intermediate proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite applications, particularly database and scheduling applications. Advanced experience as database administrator. Basic knowledge of asset management. Intermediate knowledge in material and quality control. On one or more projects, performs the duties for coordination of activities related to the area of responsibility and interfaces with all other operating sections of the jobsite. Additional Qualifications: AEMP Equipment Management Specialist (EMS) certification preferred. Planning and schedule experience preferred General construction equipment knowledge preferred.
