Job Description Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Offshore Structural Wind Engineer to join our Offshore Engineering Team based in the Bangalore Global Technical Centre (GTCI). This individual will play a key role in the technical delivery of complex offshore engineering work packages, especially related to offshore Substation (OSS) & offshore Wind turbine generators (WTGs). The Individual shall have hands on experience in Concept & Feasibility, FEED & Detail engineering Phase. Fabrication Construction and Installation engineering experience will be an added advantage. The successful candidate will bring a strong structural/marine background, particularly in the design and analysis of floating and fixed marine/offshore structures. You will contribute directly to structural integrity assessments, hydrodynamic modelling, marine operations planning, and system integration — ensuring that designs meet international standards while remaining cost-effective and constructable. Your Role Roles & Responsibilities Lead and manage technical aspects of offshore engineering projects, with a strong focus on wind turbine generator, offshore substation platforms with substructure, superstructure and miscellaneous offshore structures design. Having knowledge of foundation, soil parameter interpretation, casing pile design, mud-mat design, suction pile design. Develop efficient and innovative design methodologies for WTG foundation design considering Monopile, Tripod, 4-legged foundation configurations. Perform detail structural analysis and design report for offshore substation jacket and topsides includes (ULS, SLS, FLS, ALS) and structural analyses of floating platforms, monopiles, jackets, FPSOs, a using advanced tools such as SESAM Genie, DNV Bladed, SACS and ANSYS. Shall have experience in Preservice analysis like lift, loadout, offshore transportation, on bottom stability, ship/boat impact, Crane fatigue design, helideck design. Individual shall have experience in miscellaneous design calculations like pad eye design, trunnion design, drop object analysis along with calculations Ensure compliance with relevant international codes and standards (DNV, API, ISO, AISC, NORSOK, EURO) from a structural perspective. Develop efficient and innovative design methodologies for offshore substation considering Monopile and jacket structures. Prepare detailed technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications, with a strong emphasis on engineering rigor and verification. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, piping and geotechnical engineers to ensure integrated system performance. Mentor junior structural engineers and support knowledge transfer within the team. Engage directly with international clients and stakeholders through clear and confident communication. Travel to site locations or partner offices for short-term assignments as required. About You Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Structural engineering, marine Engineering, or Offshore Structural Engineering – must. Master’s Degree or PhD in Ocean Engineering, Offshore Structures, or a related discipline with significant professional experience in marine or offshore structural design within a consultancy or EPCI contractor environment. Experience: Minimum 10-20 years of relevant offshore engineering design experience with a strong offshore substation component. Strong background in oil & gas structures, including fixed platforms, jackets, and FPSOs, with demonstrated application. Proven track record in offshore projects, experience in WTGs foundation, offshore substation foundation & topside support structure design for fixed applications. Demonstrated ability to lead medium to large-scale projects independently. Experience across multiple phases of projects – FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, and Construction Support. Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural and finite element analysis software: Mandatory: SESAM Genie, SACS, Mathcad, MS Excel Desirable: USFOS, Ansys Strong understanding of offshore wave and wind calculation, dynamic analysis using relevant tools. Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA) is advantageous for automation and data processing. In-depth understanding of structural and ocean engineering fundamentals, including fatigue, stability, buckling, and dynamic loading. Expertise in international standards and codes such as API, DNV, ISO, AISC, EURO and NORSOK. Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively with international clients and multi-disciplinary teams. Strong project management and commercial acumen, including negotiation, budgeting, and planning. Proven leadership and mentoring abilities with a collaborative mindset. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. Willingness to travel overseas when required.
