What You Will Achieve In this role, you will: Represent VIT on project teams which include development, cost improvement, reliability, and other operation key projects. Actively identify and implement improvements in manufacturing procedures or processes. Apply operational excellence tools supporting continuous improvement to deliver measurable gains/efficiencies. Apply project management skills to lead and participate in cross-functional teams to deliver objectives on time. Direct and support feasibility line trials, engineering runs, batch documentation generation/updates, validation studies, regulatory submission data, and commercial launch planning. Serve as the liaison between project team and VIT/Operational functional leaders. Action item owner for Change Request (e.g. overseeing document updates and ensuring they are done on time). Review documentation including SOPs, TCP's, Batch Records, Monographs, Plant Run Requests, Material Request Forms, Special Sample Requests, Pre-approved Process Protocols, Quality Table Changes. Initiate Change Requests and/or performs CR assessments to support process improvements. Assist in the approval and review of checklists for experiments and evaluations to ensure the project will be adequately performed. Lead/assist the visual inspection activities associated with the visual inspection training program, processes and commitments. Assures training material and methods comply with industry standards. Support Regulatory and Customer audits as well as remediation efforts. Develop, maintain, monitor, and evaluate training materials and programs, making necessary adjustments to ensure effectiveness and fostering a culture of operational excellence. Solve complex problems by leveraging experience from various areas and fostering a collaborative problem-solving environment Own and complete investigations and M1’s. Enter and manipulate data in various software packages (i.e. Microsoft WORD, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, PDOCS, and others). Perform any other duties assigned by manager. Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements) Bachelor's degree with any years of experience, or an Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant experience Demonstrated experience in the Food and Drug Administration regulated industry Ability to perform mathematical calculations and quickly learn new processes Proactive engagement with key stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in using current computer packages such as Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Word Perform any other duties assigned by manager. Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements) Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues Prior work experience in pharmaceuticals related to Visual Inspection Training Experience with e-learning platforms Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use Physical/Mental Requirements Must be able to lift 10 pounds Have 20/20 vision Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel, or Environment Requirements Limited travel required. Non-standard work hour support of global conference calls, 24/7 manufacturing, etc. required when needed, though not typical of weekly requirements. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
