Position Summary
The Operations Manager owns the performance of CNDUIT's Washington post-harvest operation, leading every stage from harvest intake through customer shipment.
This role is responsible for transforming harvested cannabis into finished, compliant, customer-ready products by leading multiple departments, developing high-performing leaders, and building the operational systems that drive safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Operations Manager provides day-to-day leadership across post-harvest processing, production, packaging, laboratory operations, inventory, fulfillment, logistics, and compliance. This individual connects post-harvest operations with cultivation, sales, and executive leadership while ensuring consistent execution across every department.
Success in this role requires an accomplished operations leader who thrives in complex manufacturing environments and has a proven ability to develop leaders, make sound decisions, and drive operational performance through disciplined execution and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
● Lead all post-harvest operations from harvest intake through customer shipment.
● Set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure operational objectives are achieved across all departments.
● Hold department managers accountable for results while maintaining clear ownership, communication, and coordination across the operation.
Production & Fulfillment
● Oversee production, packaging, inventory, laboratory, fulfillment, logistics, and shipping operations.
● Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable execution while maintaining product quality and customer service standards.
● Partner with Sales to align operational capacity with customer demand.
Operational Excellence
● Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational systems, metrics, and processes that increase efficiency, throughput, quality, and scalability.
● Maintain standardized operating procedures and ensure improvements are documented, adopted, and sustained across all departments.
People Leadership
● Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing department managers and future leaders.
● Establish clear expectations and reinforce accountability, communication, safety, and professional development across all departments.
● Manage employee relations and labor practices in compliance with company policy and applicable employment laws.
Planning & Cross-Functional Execution
● Maintain clear visibility into upcoming harvests, including expected timing and projected volume, to ensure labor and downstream operations are prepared.
● Use production, quality, inventory, and sales data to guide operational decisions and inform future cultivation planning.
● Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and business growth.
Compliance & Inventory Stewardship
● Ensure regulatory compliance, inventory integrity, product traceability, and audit readiness across all post-harvest operations.
● Protect company assets through disciplined inventory management and operational controls.
Financial Stewardship
● Manage labor utilization, departmental spending, and operational resources to achieve productivity and financial objectives.
● Identify and implement opportunities to improve cost efficiency without compromising quality, compliance, or customer service.
Indicators of Success
● Post-harvest operations execute safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
● Customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
● Production throughput consistently meets or exceeds operational targets.
● Inventory accuracy and product integrity remain consistently high.

Required Qualifications
● Significant operations leadership experience within a complex manufacturing, production, or fulfillment environment, including responsibility for multiple departments and the development of department managers.
● Direct cannabis operations experience strongly preferred, particularly within post-harvest, manufacturing, inventory, fulfillment, or multi-department cannabis operations.
● Proven ability to improve operational systems, processes, throughput, quality, and cost performance.
● Strong working knowledge of labor planning, budgeting, inventory control, regulatory compliance, and performance management.
● Ability to interpret operational and financial data and use it to make sound business decisions.
● Experience managing employee relations and labor practices in compliance with applicable employment laws.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and levels of leadership.
● Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent leadership experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
