About our group | Mō te roopu The Corporate Services Group works in close partnership with the wider business to lead, support, and enable the EPA to achieve its strategic intentions and effectively and efficiently deliver its core functions. There are five key functions within the Corporate Services Group. These are: Information Management and Technology, P eople and C apability, Communications and C ustomer , Finance and B usiness S ervices and Enterprise P rojects People and Capability Leads and delivers programmes of work, policies, and processes that support the EPA’s strategic objectives and underpin organisational capability, capacity, and culture. The function oversees and manages the EPA’s approach to recruitment, learning and development, employment relations, remuneration , performance management, and health and safety. About the role | Mō te tūnga This role is based in our Wellington office. While we're happy to consider work-from-home arrangements, this role is not designed for full-time remote working. As a People & Capability Advisor, you'll provide practical and people-focused HR advice and support to leaders and kaimahi across the EPA. You'll work closely with Senior Advisors and specialist team members to deliver quality people solutions and contribute to a range of strategic and operational HR initiatives. In this varied role, you'll: Provide HR advice and support across recruitment, remuneration , performance management, workforce management, and employment relations. Partner with people leaders to manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from advertising and sourcing candidates through to appointment. Support organisational change initiatives and help embed people-centred change practices. Assist with employment relations matters, investigations, performance processes, and policy interpretation. Contribute to key people programmes including engagement, remuneration reviews, performance reviews, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and workforce projects. Coordinate learning and development activities and support capability-building initiatives across the organisation. Help maintain and improve HR policies, guidelines, systems, and processes. Provide HR reporting and insights to support effective people decisions. Build trusted relationships with leaders and employees while delivering a high-quality customer experience . This role offers exposure across the full employee lifecycle and is ideal for someone looking to further develop their HR advisory career in a supportive and collaborative environment. About you | Mōhou ake We are looking for someone with a range of skills and experience – if you have some or all of the below, we would love to hear from you . HR advisory or generalist experience across a broad range of people practices. Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and HR best practice. Practical experience managing recruitment and selection processes. Experience providing advice on employment relations matters, HR policies, payroll queries, and people processes. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Excellent communication and relationship-management skills with a customer-focused approach. Confidence using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Salary r ange $77,045 - $115,567 per annum (midpoint $96,306). This is the full salary range of the band, from 80% - 120%. Appointments will generally be made at or below the midpoint of this range, depending on skills and experience.
