About Our Company
ESC is a multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm supporting U.S. federal agencies, commercial clients, and infrastructure projects throughout Japan and the Pacific region. We are seeking an experienced Professional Engineer (PE) – Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in a leadership role.
This is an opportunity to work on challenging civil and geotechnical projects while helping shape the future of a growing engineering practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, manage, and oversee geotechnical site investigations, including soil and rock exploration programs
* Analyze subsurface conditions and develop engineering recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, pavements, and earthwork
* Prepare, review, and seal geotechnical engineering reports and design documents, as applicable
* Provide geotechnical support during design and construction phases
* Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams
* Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and technical quality control
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continued growth of ESC’s engineering capabilities
Qualifications
* Professional Engineer (PE) license in Geotechnical Engineering
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
* Minimum 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience
* Experience with geotechnical investigations, analysis, and report preparation
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Fluent in English or Japanese; bilingual capability is highly desirable
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multicultural environment

当社の重要な注力分野の一つは、米軍関連プロジェクトの地盤・土木エンジニアリング支援であり、その他一般的なインフラ整備や開発案件にも携わっています。
業務内容
• 地盤調査計画の立案および調査の監督
• 基礎、擁壁、斜面、土工に関する設計提案の作成
• 地盤工学レポートの作成およびレビュー
• 施工段階での技術サポート
• クライアント、施工会社、社内チームとの調整およびプロジェクトリード
応募要件
• 土木工学または地盤工学の学士号または修士号
• PEライセンス必須
• 地盤工学分野で5年以上の実務経験
• 高い分析能力および標準的なエンジニアリングソフトの使用スキル
• 英語または日本語の流楓なコミュニケーション能力（バイリンガル歌迎・必須不問）
• チーム・クライアントとの円滑な連携ができるコミュニケーション能力
