Your morning starts by assigning staff to classrooms and reviewing nursing documentation for quality assurance. Then, you’ll greet families and children as they arrive — offering a warm smile and helping set the tone for a positive day. Throughout the day, you’ll: Support nursing staff and aides with interventions and daily activities. Engage with children in their classrooms — joining in crafts, songs, or even organizing a fall carnival or petting zoo! Collaborate with physicians and families to ensure each child’s medical needs are met. Develop and update care plans , track infections, and review chart audits. Coordinate care for children ages birth to eight years in a center-based setting. Provide direct patient care when needed. Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and collaborate with physicians to improve outcomes.
