About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to help ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of enterprise Java-based applications. You will work as part of a Scrum/Kanban team and be responsible for designing and executing performance tests, maintaining automation scripts, analyzing results, and identifying application bottlenecks.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with BlazeMeter/JMeter, Selenium, Java application testing, and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform performance testing for Java-based applications and distributed systems.
• Develop and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests using BlazeMeter and/or JMeter.
• Create and maintain Selenium automation and regression test scripts.
• Design test cases, develop test scripts, execute tests, and analyze performance results.
• Identify application performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Analyze JVM, application server, database, and infrastructure performance.
• Develop performance test strategies, test plans, and performance reports.
• Work closely with developers, QA, infrastructure, and engineering teams.
• Support testing activities within an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of performance testing experience with Java-based applications and distributed systems.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with JMeter and/or BlazeMeter.
• Experience with BlazeMeter is highly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with Selenium automation.
• Strong understanding of performance metrics, bottleneck identification, and performance tuning.
• Experience analyzing JVM, application server, database, and infrastructure performance.
• Experience developing performance test strategies, test plans, scripts, and reports.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working with Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.

Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience

• GitHub Copilot, Devin, or other AI-assisted development/testing tools – 1+ year.
• ADA/Accessibility compliance testing experience.
• Playwright experience – 1+ year.
• SQL Server query development and optimization for test data preparation, validation, and performance analysis – 1+ year.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, or Grafana.
