Project Overview: Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects. Job Summary: In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-BH1 Major Responsibilities: Work Planning & Packaging Prepares construction drawings and sketches. Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans. Material Management Initiates requisitions for field purchases. Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment. Quantities Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required. Safety / Quality Control Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely. Technical Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities System Turnover Coordinator For Direct Hire: Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development. STR / Subcontract Coordinator Reviews and approves inspection test plans Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: Construction experience assigned to a construction site. Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken. Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience. Experience walking down piping installation work packages and piping test packages, generating punch lists, verification of completed punch items, etc. Experience executing pneumatic pressure testing, exclusion zone calculations Experience with ASME B31.3 piping code. TEAMWorks experience is preferred. Experience working on the U.S. Gulf Coast is preferred. Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
