The Team You're Joining

The Policy Cooperation Team works to influence policy processes that accelerate Korea's climate response, including the fossil fuel phase-out, industrial decarbonization, and renewable energy expansion, by collaborating with policymakers in the National Assembly, political parties, researchers, and other policy stakeholders.
We analyze budget execution processes and outcomes, assess the effectiveness, transparency, and fiscal sustainability of policies, and provide direction for SFOC's program work, while advocating for optimal fiscal planning to help achieve climate goals.

How You'll Contribute

Analyze and propose recommendations on climate related fiscal and tax issues, including climate finance and green finance
Develop policy channel strategies related to SFOC's key areas of activity
Build and manage relationships with domestic and international policy stakeholders
Share and disseminate SFOC's agenda through policy channels
Organize and support major events, including seminars
Support other relevant tasks within the Policy Cooperation Team

Who We're Looking For

1-2 years of experience in the National Assembly, government, or a related field, with a strong passion for driving climate action
Understanding of Korea's policy, administrative, and fiscal systems
Analytical thinking and careful problem solving skills
Creativity in approaching new problems with fresh solutions
Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders
Proactiveness and agility to respond to a changing environment
Respect for diversity and an inclusive organizational culture
Alignment with SFOC's vision and mission, with leadership qualities
Working level Korean speaking and writing skills

Nice to Have

A degree or research experience in economics, business administration, finance/accounting, statistics, or public administration (e.g. National Assembly Budget Office, national research institutes)
Experience in civil society activities or related work
English communication skills
