About the job: In accordance with the Mission and Core Values, the President assumes responsibility and provides vision and leadership for all aspects of the operation of the College of Nursing and educational programs in accordance with policies adopted by the College of Nursing Board of Trustees. Assumes the authority, accountability, and responsibility for all aspects of the College of Nursing organization and operations. Develops and maintains an appropriate administrative organization to ensure effective management of the College and its resources. Reflects and role models the College of Nursing’s Mission and Core Values for students, faculty, staff, and the community. Develops and oversees a progressive and community-responsive College philosophy, including a comprehensive strategic plan in collaboration with the College of Nursing community and aligned with Mount Carmel Health System’s strategic plan. The strategic plan shall detail the institutional Mission, vision, Core Values, goals and objectives, priorities, and resource for the current and long-range needs. Reports on strategy work plans and accomplishments. Responsible and accountable for maintaining institutional accreditation. Responsible and accountable for institutional diversity. Serves as the official representative of the College of Nursing to internal and external constituencies. Serves as a liaison with collaborating institutions. Oversees and submits all reports required by local, state, and national agencies. Ensures effective orientation and training of faculty and staff. Oversees the infrastructure of the College of Nursing. Responsible and accountable for the College of Nursing budget and financial activities. Serve as a mentor and coach for all College of Nursing faculty and staff. What we are looking for: Education: Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred Experience: Minimum 7-10 years administrative experience in education, program development, and teaching experience in baccalaureate or higher degree program. Knowledge of health sciences higher education. Knowledge of effective recruitment, enrollment, and admissions processes. Understanding of and experience with managing in a matrix organization. Effective, open, and transparent communication skills. Evidence of scholarly achievement. Demonstrated effective leadership and administrative skills. Ability to motivate and inspire a team of staff and faculty. Active in professional and higher education organizations.
