About the Role Reporting to the Group Manager - Contracts within our growing Group Projects team, this newly created role has responsibility for managing commercial activity related to a diverse portfolio of studies and major capital projects. Based in Brisbane, you'll partner with project leaders, study managers and operational stakeholders to deliver commercial and contractual support across multiple concurrent projects. This is a hands-on role that spans the full contract and project lifecycle, from consultant and contractor engagement through to contract administration, governance, commercial support and stakeholder management. You'll support studies ranging from early-stage concepts through to significant development programs, while also contributing to major capital projects across the Evolution portfolio. Contracts you are responsible for may range in value from two thousand to two hundred million. You'll enjoy genuine autonomy and the opportunity to make decisions, build trusted relationships and contribute to projects that have a meaningful impact on the business. While the role carries substantial responsibility, it remains deliberately practical. Success will come from someone who enjoys being close to the work and takes pride in delivering high-quality commercial outcomes. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the development and administration of consultant, contractor and service agreements. Providing pre-award and post-award contract management support across studies and projects. Managing commercial governance processes to ensure compliance and effective risk management. Supporting labour hire, consultant engagement and project mobilisation activities. Building strong relationships with project and operational stakeholders. Contributing to continuous improvement opportunities across contracts and commercial processes. Supporting a portfolio of studies and projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities. About You You’re an experienced contract professional who enjoys being hands-on and contributing directly to project outcomes. You thrive in fast-paced environments, can manage competing priorities and are trusted by stakeholders because of your commercial judgement, practical approach and willingness to get involved. You're comfortable making decisions, building relationships and balancing governance requirements with the needs of project delivery. Most importantly, you're someone who enjoys doing the work. You take ownership, operate independently and don't need day-to-day direction to be effective. While you're focused on delivering outcomes today, you're also motivated by opportunities to continue learning, growing and expanding your capability over time. You'll be a collaborative team player who values shared success and contributes positively to a culture built on accountability, trust, autonomy and respect. You Most Likely Have: Demonstrated experience in contracts administration, contract management or commercial roles supporting projects, studies, mining or operational environments. Experience managing contracts across the full lifecycle, including both pre-award and post-award activities. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build trusted working relationships. The ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands in a fast-moving environment. Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to make decisions independently. Experience supporting consultant, contractor or professional services engagements. A practical understanding of governance, compliance and commercial risk management. Experience within mining, construction, engineering, infrastructure, project services or a similarly project-focused environment. A desire to remain hands-on while continuing to broaden your commercial and leadership capability. Mining industry experience will be highly regarded; however, we welcome applications from candidates with transferable project contracting experience from related industries.
