Director Of Public Prosecutions
Fixed full time vacancy is available

Are you an experienced criminal lawyer looking to apply your legal expertise in a role that will have a lasting impact on prosecutorial practice?
The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is seeking an experienced legal practitioner to lead the development of a centralised legal knowledge hub for the Northern Territory DPP office.
Reporting directly to the Director of Public Prosecutions, you will undertake a unique and significant project to identify, review and curate legal resources from across the office, including precedent submissions, legal authorities, case summaries, CPD materials and guidance resources. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will help create a practical and accessible digital knowledge resource that promotes consistency, efficiency and excellence in prosecutorial practice.
This role will suit a lawyer with strong analytical abilities, excellent legal research and writing skills, and the judgment to assess the relevance, quality and ongoing value of legal materials. Experience in criminal law and evidence law will be highly regarded.
Unlike many senior legal roles, this position does not involve court appearances. Instead, it offers a rare opportunity to work directly with the DPP on legal issues and contribute to a resource that will support prosecutors across the Northern Territory for years to come.
The rewards
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of $152,751 - $166,487 inclusive of 12% superannuation, six weeks recreational and three weeks personal leave, 17.5% annual leave loading, substantial career satisfaction, flexible work arrangements, and the opportunity to experience the uniqueness of living and working in the Northern Territory.
Relocation assistance will be available. Flexible work options are available.
