Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our RQ-4 Systems Engineering Program Team. This role is located in Rancho Bernardo, CA . In this role as Principal Project Management, you will provide cross cutting support to the NATO portfolio. You will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing enterprise projects and team operations. You will also work side by side with the RQ-4 Systems Engineering leads, Program Integration, IPTs, and functional partners on program execution meetings to drive meeting rhythm, action item disposition, team coordination, addressing issues, and other special projects as needed. Tactically, in this role you will review project status; manage weekly/bi-weekly rhythm for internal/external meetings/schedules and prepare status reports; assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. You will need to develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers and cross-IPTs, and internal/external stakeholders. To be successful in this role, you will understand program/project management, adhering to Northrop Grumman processes, and applying them to internal enterprise projects. You are expected to have a complete understanding and application of project management principles, industry practices, and standards, and independently demonstrate the skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks. You would possess strong leadership and team building capabilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and solid organizational abilities. Finally, you must be motivated, flexible team player who can coordinate across multiple programs and functions. Some travel may be required. Primary Responsibilities can include: Assessing project and execution issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. Developing, implementing, and maintaining mechanisms and tools/templates for monitoring project and enterprise initiative progress, including SharePoint/Extranet migrations, RIO/TRIO metrics, and meeting agenda/minute submissions. Preparing status reports and presentations for internal leadership and customer meetings. Serving as a liaison between Enterprise Ops, program teams, functional organizations, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on schedules, deliverables, and enterprise initiatives. Supporting enterprise proposals and special projects as needed, including planning, data gathering, and coordination across teams. Basic Qualifications: Must have a Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of relevant military / professional experience in program, project, or business management, OR a Master's Degree and at least 3 years of relevant military / professional experience in program, project, or business management, OR a PhD and at least 1 year of relevant military / professional / academic experience in program, project, or business management Must have an interim US Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation). Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of project management principles and demonstrated experience applying them in a professional setting Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership Aerospace and/or Defense industry experience Experience supporting technical engineering or operations environments Experience as a Risk Manager, RIO/TRIO coordinator, or similar Experience coordinating SharePoint/Extranet migrations or collaboration tools implementation Experience working with cross functional and geographically dispersed teams Experience supporting enterprise engagement and site operations (e.g., all hands, town halls, site events) Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
