Our imaging platforms, procedure-specific transducers, and user-focused software enable visualization of anatomy, guide interventions, and support real-time navigation during procedures. Our Surgical Visualization and Guidance business brings these capabilities into the operating room, providing real-time visual guidance when it matters most. At our State College site, teams design, manufacture, and service diagnostic medical ultrasound transducers (probes) used across a wide range of clinical applications, including surgery, urology, cardiology, and radiology. Operating in a high-mix, low-volume regulated manufacturing environment, the site combines advanced engineering, precision manufacturing, and lifecycle support to deliver critical imaging technology for patient care. This role focuses on developing and validating concepts using scientific and engineering methods to demonstrate feasibility and performance through testing and analysis. Working under close supervision, the individual follows established procedures within a structured framework. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost. Develop, implement, and monitor new or modified processes and procedures. Complete process and equipment qualifications and validations. Conduct experiments and trials to validate process changes and collect data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality assurance. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts. Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, such as FDA, safety and environmental regulations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field or Associate's degree and 3 years experience in a similar manufacturing environment. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, JMP, etc.). Desired Characteristics 2+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in process engineering or a regulated industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles. Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred). Experience with process capability analysis and Gage R&R. Knowledge of materials or acoustics. #LI-VS1 #LI-Onsite We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
