Procurement & Purchasing Officer opportunity – European Space Agency

Location: ESTEC, Noordwijk (Netherlands) – ESRIN, Frascati (Italy) – ESAC, Madrid (Spain) | Positions: 6 - 8

Overview

Octagon Professionals International is recruiting six to eight Procurement & Purchasing Officers to provide end-to-end purchasing support for ESA’s Purchase Office Support Service. Each Officer independently handles the full Purchase Order process. It is an excellent opportunity to build a procurement career within a respected international organisation. Role & Responsibilities

• Analyse Purchase Requests and select the appropriate procurement route.
• Prepare Requests for Quotation and communicate with suppliers.
• Evaluate quotations and prepare Purchase Orders.
• Support commercial negotiations and maintain procurement documentation.
• Provide procurement advice to ESA customers.
• Contribute to the harmonisation of procurement practices across ESA establishments.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
• Ability to independently manage the complete Purchase Order process.
• Experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
• Strong organisational and communication skills; fluent English.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience within ESA or a comparable international organisation.
• Professional procurement qualification, or working towards one (e.g. CIPS).
• Experience across multiple procurement categories.
• Additional European language skills.
