About the Role The successful candidate will be a visible leader on the sales floor, supporting team members while creating a positive shopping experience for customers. Key Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the Produce Department. Manage departmental sales, margins, expenses, pricing, and inventory performance. Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members. Foster a positive, engaged, and customer-focused team culture. Ensure high standards of merchandising, freshness, product quality, and store image. Maintain exceptional customer service standards and effectively resolve customer concerns. Review and analyze department results and implement improvement plans as needed. Manage ordering, receiving, inventory control, supplier invoices, and claims processes. Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and workplace safety standards. Work collaboratively with the Food Store Manager to achieve store goals and operational objectives. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of retail experience with 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A passion for customer service and team development. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
